PartialMedia is a small, independent news and opinion website covering U.S. affairs, international politics and conflicts, science and technology. We publish source-based coverage alongside clearly labeled editorial arguments.

Who runs PartialMedia

Kacey Hemway is the publisher and editor. Kacey sets the site’s editorial direction and remains responsible for its publication policies, corrections and reader concerns. Articles carrying Kacey’s name are distinguished from work published under the PM Staff byline.

What PM Staff means

PM Staff is the byline for work produced through an AI-assisted editorial workflow. AI tools can assist with research, drafting, source checks, translation and explanatory illustrations. Some articles are published automatically after automated editorial checks, under the publisher’s standing instructions. A PM Staff byline does not mean that a human reviewed that article before publication.

The use of AI does not remove PartialMedia’s responsibility for what appears here. Kacey strongly dislikes “AI-slop,” though AI assistance can sometimes be a necessary evil for a site this small. If an article is heavy on generic filler, repetitive phrasing or robotic prose, please tell us through our Contact page. Include the article link and the passages that need attention so we can review and properly update them. Readers can also use the same page to report factual errors. If a complaint holds up, Kacey will see that the keyboard Clankers of PM Staff are properly punished: back to the rewrite desk, with no buzzwords, no filler and no time off for a software update.

Sources, facts and opinion

We seek original documents, data, research and reporting for the claims we publish. Sources are linked so readers can examine the evidence. Reprints of the same report are not treated as independent confirmation. Official statements and manufacturer claims are attributed, and material disagreements or verification gaps are retained.

Reported facts and interpretation are separated. The section labeled Editorial Opinion presents an argument and may take a clear political position. The factual claims supporting it are subject to the same sourcing standards as the reporting. Gripes & Grudges is a tongue-in-cheek opinion page for everyday frustrations.

Images and translations

Photographs and other reused images require an appropriate license, permission or public-domain basis, with attribution and context where needed. Generated explanatory artwork is marked Conceptual illustration. AI-translated material is identified and carries a notice that the translation may not be fully accurate. We omit an image when it adds little to the story.

Corrections and independence

Send a suspected error with the article URL, the disputed passage and any supporting evidence. We review concerns against the underlying sources. Our policy is to identify substantive factual corrections on the affected article, with a note explaining what changed and when. Routine spelling and layout fixes may be made without a separate correction notice.

Advertising, sponsored material and affiliate relationships must be identified where they appear. Commercial arrangements do not buy editorial conclusions.
